The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the official notification for AFCAT 2/2025, inviting applications for 284 vacancies in the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. Eligible candidates can apply online from 2nd June 2025 to 1st July 2025.

📝 Vacancy Details


Flying Branch: 3 Posts


Ground Duty (Technical): 156 Posts


Ground Duty (Non-Technical): 125 Posts


NCC Special Entry (Flying Branch): 10% seats out of CDSE vacancies for PC and 10% seats out of AFCAT vacancies for SSC

✅ Eligibility Criteria


Nationality: Indian citizens as per the Indian Citizenship Act, 1955 


Age Limit:


Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as on 1st July 2026 (born between 2nd July 2002 and 1st July 2006). Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 years (born between 2nd July 2000 and 1st July 2006).


Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical): 20 to 26 years as on 1st July 2026 (born between 2nd July 2000 and 1st July 2006). 



Educational Qualification:


Flying Branch: Candidates must have passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Mathematics and Physics at 10+2 level and:


Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.


BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.


Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. 



Ground Duty (Technical): Candidates must have passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and have a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from recognized University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India. 


Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

AFCAT Entry: Rs. 550/- + GST (Non-refundable)


NCC Special Entry: No fee required

1. Visit the official AFCAT website: https://afcat.cdac.in



2. Click on the "Candidate Login" section and select "AFCAT 02/2025 Cycle".



3. Register as a new user or log in with your existing credentials.



4. Fill in the required personal, educational, and other details.



5. Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and other necessary documents.



6. Pay the application fee (if applicable) and submit the application form.



7. Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
